Love 75-85 degree weather, gentle breezes, wildflowers and the smell of fresh pine? Then you’ll love summers in Wrightwood. With hiking, canoeing, mountain biking and a zip-line all within minutes, you’ll never run out of adventure. Below are some of our favorite summer-time activities in the area:
- Mountain Biking — Several great mountain biking trails exist in the Wrightwood area, many with incredible vistas to the deserts below. Mt High Ski Area offers rides to the top for mountain biking down the slopes.
- Hiking — Two favorite climbs are up Baden Powell and Baldy Mountains. Both of these hikes offer unparallelled views to the valley below. On a clear day, you can see Catalina Island! Big horn sheep are often spotted, especially on the Baldy hike. Other popular hikes are Blue Ridge, Vincent Gap, and Table Mountain trails.
- Zip Line and Nature Canopy Tours – NAVITAT CANOPY ADVENTURES-Wrightwood is a world-class zip line canopy tour that showcases Southern California’s beautiful San Gabriel Mountains. The tour is located on the property of Wrightwood Guest Ranch in Wrightwood, Calif., just 75 miles northeast of Los Angeles.
